Our Story

Lane County faced a major challenge when our only grocery store was lost to fire in January 2024. What could have been a devastating blow to our community turned into an opportunity for resilience, unity, and vision.

The Lane Co. Community Foundation, along with dedicated residents, stepped up to ensure access to fresh, affordable food for every household in our county. Lane Co. Community Grocery, Inc. is a subsidiary C-Corporation of the Foundation and is overseen by a seven-member Board of Directors.

From generous donations to countless volunteer hours, this grocery store is happening because it's built by the community, for the community.

We are thrilled to announce that James Jennings has joined Lane Co. Community Grocery as our new Store General Manager. James brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community service that makes him the perfect fit for our mission.

As we prepare to open our doors, James will work closely with Randy Evans, to lead our team in creating a welcoming, community-focused shopping experience that Dighton and Lane County deserve.
